"NEW" DENTAL BOARD OF CALIFORNIA REQUIREMENT FOR
DENTISTS WHO EMPLOY DENTAL ASSISTANTS |
dentassist offers a board approved on-line and on-site program that meets new requirements for unlicensed dental assistants hired on or after January 1, 2010.
The course includes the required two hour Dental Practice Act and an eight hour Infection Control course on-line and on-site at your practice.

This program provides online curriculum and on-site instruction by our faculty in your practice.
Program I provides a board approved two hour Dental Practice Act course and an eight hour Infection Control course. The Infection Control course includes a four hour online (didactic) course and four hours of clinical instruction by our trained faculty on-site in your dental practice.
This program is only available for the Northern California area, including the counties of Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Yolo, Sutter, Nevada, Yuba, San Joaquin, Amador, Solano, and Calaveras.
Counties outside the areas listed must contact dentassist prior to purchase to discuss special arrangement requirements at an additional fee for Phase I or proceed to Phase II.

This program provides online curriculum and on-site instruction by the dentist/employer or an active licensed auxiliary in your practice.
Program II provides a board approved two hour Dental Practice Act course and an eight hour Infection Control course. The Infection Control course includes a four hour online (didactic) course and four hours of clinical instruction by the employer /dentist or an active licensed dental auxiliary in your employ with a minimum of two years experience. You are required to sign a faculty agreement, adhere to our program instruction guidelines and complete a two hour teaching methodology course in clinical evaluation.
